SPVandalismo

SPVandalismo is a living archive devoted to the memory of São Paulo graphic vandalism — pixação, graffiti, throw-ups, bombs and every form of urban writing that common sense rejects and the city, reluctantly, absorbs. The project starts from a clear premise: to tag São Paulo is not merely an act of rebellion, it is a grammar. The paulista letter — vertical, tense, heir to 1980s gothic rock and punk — builds an alphabet of its own, disputing the landscape with corporate advertising and urban sanitation. SPVandalismo catalogs, photographs and circulates this production, treating it as intangible heritage and as evidence of a São Paulo that writes about itself, day after day, night after night, with ink, risk and presence. Curation without permission: to archive what the city tries to erase.
